Australians want more choice for their retirement dollars

Radio 2EL:  Australians want more choice for their retirement dollars.

Radio 2EL (Orange, NSW) presenter Tony Wright interviewed Scott Marinchek from Aviiid Third-age Living to discuss listener demand for new types of retirement accommodation and investments.

"If you are like me, your super account balance isn't where you thought it would be", said Wright who noted the poor performance of many superannuation investments and queried how investors could access long-term returns linked to the retirement living and aged care sectors.

"Aviiid does not currently allow retail investors to participate directly in its investment funds but many of our institutional and wholesale investors offer superannuation products that may be worthwhile to consider", said Marinchek.

When asked where listeners could go for more information about senior housing, care and related investment opportunities, Marinchek referred them to the websites of The Retirement Villages Association of Australia, Aged Care Association of Australia and The Association of Superannuation Funds of Australia for more information.
